Hooked Martial Arts + Fitness offers a 3-day-a-week program designed specifically for homeschool families, focusing on developing confidence, fitness, and martial arts skills in a supportive, engaging environment.

Who Should Join?

Our homeschool martial arts program is designed for families in the Auburn, Opelika, and Lee County area who want to give their children a well-rounded physical education. Whether you're looking to supplement your homeschool curriculum with structured physical activity or introduce your child to martial arts in a supportive environment, this program is for you. It's perfect for families who value community, fitness, and personal growth. By joining, your child will not only develop important life skills but also become part of a local network of families who support each other in reaching their goals.

What to Expect in Your First Class

In your first class, your child will be introduced to the basics of our homeschool martial arts program. They'll start with a fun and engaging warm-up to get their body moving, followed by a hands-on martial arts lesson that focuses on the fundamentals of grappling, striking, or fitness. The class will also include a short, interactive lesson on health and fitness, helping your child understand the importance of movement and nutrition. Our experienced instructors will guide them through each activity at their own pace in a supportive, welcoming environment.

What to Wear

​For your first class, make sure your child is dressed in comfortable athletic clothing such as leggings, shorts, or a t-shirt. It’s important to wear clothes that allow for movement, as there will be plenty of stretching, kicking, and grappling. Since we practice on mats, no shoes are required, but we suggest bringing slides or flip-flops for bathroom use. Don’t forget a water bottle to stay hydrated!

Gear Requirements

At the start of the semester, no special gear is required for our homeschool martial arts program—just come ready to move and learn! As the semester progresses, students involved in the kickboxing portion of the program will need boxing gloves. Don’t worry, we’ll guide you through the process of purchasing the right gloves at the appropriate time. For now, just wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Class Etiquette

  • Check in at the kiosk when you arrive.

  • Respect the space and other participants by maintaining a clean workout area and a positive attitude.

  • Wear your shoes to the bathroom for hygiene purposes.
